5 Cheap Beauty Tips

You don’t have to spend a fortune on beauty products to help your skin. A lot of the items you need can be found in your store cupboard, so before you rush out and spend a small fortune on a tiny tube of something take a look at these tips.

For Tired Eyes

If you are making a salad which contains cucumber, save two large slices, and when you have finished your preparations, relax, lie back and put a slice of cucumber over each eye and close them. Stay like this for 20 minutes and you will find that your eyes are looking and feeling much fresher.

If you don’t have a cucumber and feel as though you’d like to try this, it doesn’t matter. Relax, and make yourself a cup of tea or two, with a tea bag. Instead of throwing the teabags away, save them and when it they are cold, put one over each eye as described for the cucumber. Teabags work just as well, but they have to be damp and cold.

For Rough Skin

If you have patches of rough skin on your heels or elbows, when you have squeezed a lemon, keep the kin and remains of the fruit and rub it into the rough areas. They will go if you do this for a few days. Your skin will be much softer.

A Face Pack for All Skin Types

If your skin tends to be a little greasy, or you have the “T” patch which is greasy from your forehead down to your chin, taking in your nose, then look through the store cupboard for oatmeal. Blend oatmeal with a little water until it forms a smooth paste and put this on the oily patches. You can simply cover your face with it, as it won’t dry or dehydrate your skin, so it really doesn’t matter what your skin type is. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse off with tepid water. Your skin will feel refreshed and look glowing.

For Shiny Dark Hair

If you have the herbs, rosemary and thyme in your garden or dried in your store cupboard, you can use them as a hair rinse. All you have to do is boil a teaspoon each of the dried herbs in water for 10 minutes, then leaves this to cool and use as the last rinse after you have shampooed your hair.

For Shiny Blonde Hair

Boil a teaspoon of dried chamomile flowers; you can use a handful of fresh ones if you have them, or two teabag of chamomile. Put a dessertspoonful of honey in the water and let it dissolve. Let the water cool and use it as the last rinse for your hair after shampooing.

You don’t have to break the bank to look wonderful and healthy.
