♥ Silky Soft Hair – by Angelique H., Los Angeles, CA

When blow drying your hair straight, put a dab of olive oil in the palm of your hands then work it through your hair while it’s still a little damp, not quite dry yet, then continue to dry your hair straight. The olive oil leaves your hair unbelievably shiny and silky soft without weighing it down.

♥ Tips for Beautiful Hair – by Sanatonegirl

To get rid of strange odors on your hair (such as smoke or food), simply wipe a clothes dryer sheet through your hair. It really works.

Also if you color your hair at home and it turns out too dark apply enough clarifying shampoo to your dry hair, wait about 30 minutes and rinse. Repeat as often as needed, but always on dry hair. (use Suave brand, it’s the cheapest and works the best and leaves your hair the silkiest). I swear, it really works. I use this technique on my clients.

♥ Shine Magnifier – by Mel

You need:

  • An empty hairspray bottle
  • 1 cup of canola oil
  • 1/2 cup of hairspray to give it hold & smell good (Herbal Essences is good!)
  • a couple drops of conditioner

What to do:

Pour everything into the bottle and shake well. Style hair as usual (looks best when it’s down… flipped, straight, curled). Spray mixture into freshly styled hair. NOT INTO THE ROOTS OR ELSE IT”LL LOOK LIKE YOU HAVE REALLY GREASY HAIR!!! Comb or finger it through. To touch up, spray some into your hands & smooth it through you hair.
