    1. I completely understand your struggle with dry hair from swimming in a chlorinated pool regularly. It’s great that you wet your hair before putting on your swim cap and use conditioner on your ponytail. That can help create a barrier between your hair and the chlorine. However, it’s important to find the right shampoo and conditioner to address your dry hair and maintain your monthly hair color.

For shampoo and conditioner, look for products that are specifically formulated for dry or damaged hair. These products often contain ingredients like argan oil, shea butter, or coconut oil, which can deeply moisturize your hair and restore its health. Be sure to read the labels and avoid products with harsh sulfates, as they can further strip moisture from your hair. Instead, opt for products that are sulfate-free.

After rinsing out your conditioner, consider incorporating a hair oil into your routine. Argan oil or jojoba oil, for example, can provide extra hydration and nourishment to your hair. Take a small amount of oil (a few drops should be enough) and work it through the ends of your damp hair, avoiding the roots. This can help seal in moisture and prevent further dryness.

Finally, make sure to use a color-safe shampoo and conditioner to preserve your hair color. Look for products specifically designed for color-treated hair, as they can help extend the life of your color and prevent fading.

Remember to also drink plenty of water, as hydration plays a vital role in the health of your hair. Additionally, consider using a leave-in conditioner or hair mask once a week for an extra boost of hydration and repair.

Overall, it may take some trial and error to find the perfect combination of products for your specific hair needs. Don’t be afraid to experiment and adjust your routine until you find what works best for you.
