This skin calming recipe will leave the skin feeling soft and rejuvenated. The lemon balm’s anti-bacterial properties and the mint’s natural salicylic acid aids in the healing and preventing of pimples. Ingredients:
1/4 cup fresh mint (Mentha) chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried herb)
1/4 cup fresh lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried herb)
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup rolled oatmeal
1 small banana (mashed)
Cut fresh herbs into small pieces, add oatmeal, olive oil and mashed banana. Mix ingredients together until it’s moist but don’t over stir.
With hair pulled away from the face, apply recipe to clean skin. Let the herbal mixture stay on the skin for 10 minutes. Add a little warm water to your face to help loosen the facial mask before rinsing off with warm water. Pat skin dry.
