High Heel Relief: Sweet Milk Foot Soak

Foot Care

Tired from a long day’s work? Kick off those heels. We’ll show you how you can care for your tired, abused feet with a homemade foot soak.

We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again – our feet deserve all the care and attention just like our face or hair. Tired, dry, aching or even itching feet screams some serious pampering so “listen” to what your feet tell you. If you feel like they need a break, well, chances are, they do need a break!

Soak your feet in a warm, relaxing foot soak to soothe them.

Milk makes a wonderful foot soak, and here’s why: milk can help make skin supple and radiant, and it’s also a natural cleanser. The lactic acid in milk also helps exfoliate, and just in case you’re also experiencing some itching, the anti-inflammatory properties of milk will also stop it.

Why, Cleopatra had every reason to bathe in milk daily! Milk has so many benefits for the skin – no wonder it has been used for centuries to make skin glow beautifully!

A milk foot soak is said to be ideal for dry, itchy feet. You should try to use this remedy regularly, especially during the winter when our feet can get excessively dry. You can take today’s recipe up a notch by adding a few drops of lavender essential oil if your feet are extremely tired. Adding this your feet will help promote a sense of calmness and relaxation. Enjoy!
