Boost Hair Shine

Boost Hair Shine

I love your site!  So I decided I’d contribute something of my own.

This is a recipe to boost hair shine and at the same time make it softer and more manageable. Lemon juice and apple cider vinegar makes hair shiny by removing product build-up whereas honey and tea deep conditions, ensuring that the vinegar and lemon juice don’t strip away too much of the hair’s moisture. Hope you will like it.

1) Mix the following in a jug (or anything else convenient for pouring contents over head)

  • Lemon juice from ½ a lemon*
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup brewed Lipton tea (or any regular tea)

2) After shampooing (but before conditioning), pour mixture on hair and massage into scalp and through the hair.

3) Rinse thoroughly with cool water.

* As lemon juice tends to lighten hair color, you may choose to omit it.

    1. To make hair appear thinner and boost hair shine, there are a few methods you can try:

      1. Use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner: Look for products specifically designed to add volume to your hair. These can help create the illusion of thinner hair by lifting it at the roots.

      2. Avoid heavy styling products: Products like gels and creams can weigh down your hair, making it appear thicker. Opt for lighter alternatives or minimize product use altogether.

      3. Blow-dry your hair upside down: This technique helps to lift your roots and add volume to your hair. Start by bending over and blow-drying the roots in the opposite direction of hair growth to achieve a thinner appearance.

      4. Incorporate regular trims: Split ends and unhealthy hair can make your hair appear thicker and dull. Trim your hair every few months to maintain its health and promote shine.

      5. Use a clarifying shampoo: Over time, product buildup can weigh down your hair, making it look thicker. Using a clarifying shampoo once in a while can help remove any residue, leaving your hair looking lighter and shinier.

Remember, these tips can help create the appearance of thinner hair, but it’s important to embrace and love your natural hair texture and thickness. Everyone’s hair is unique and beautiful in its own way!
