Onion (Allium cepa) recognized with healing qualities include their antibacterial, cleansing, stimulating, and nourishing powers. Onions contain a number of important minerals and vitamins, such as vitamins C and B6, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and germanium. Onion also has a high sulfur content. Sulfur is a mineral present in every cell in our body, with its greatest concentration in hair, skin and nails. It has often been called the “beauty mineral” and the “healing mineral” because of its ability to promote circulation and decrease inflammation. These qualities also lend to the theory that adequate amounts of sulfur can jump-start hair growth in people with deficiencies. High amounts of sulfur in onions make them particularly effective in regenerating hair follicles and stimulating hair regrowth. In addition, naturally-concentrated sulfur compounds have been proven to show additional hair-restoring.

Do these treatments everyday. In most cases, regular onion treatments will result in dramatic improvement of hair thickness within just several months. Since onion juice restores hair follicles and improves scalp circulation, it will help to promote the strong-hair growth.

    2. That’s great to hear, Ahmed! It’s wonderful that you have seen such positive results with using onion and garlic for your hair. Thank you for sharing your experience and the additional tip of using warm olive oil. It’s always helpful to hear personal success stories with natural remedies.

  2. Can you please let me know how can we use the combination of garlic and Onion.
Do we need to make the paste of both and apply to the scalp???

    Regards,
    Archana

    1. Yes you please make the paste of both, squeeze it and apply the juice on the scalp ….to avoid bad smell add 2 or 3 drops of lemon…

    2. Hi Archana, to use the combination of garlic and onion for your hair, you can make a paste by blending or grating both ingredients together and applying it directly to your scalp. Some people prefer to extract the juice from the garlic and onion, while others prefer to create a paste with the whole ingredients. Leave the mixture on your scalp for about an hour before rinsing it off. Remember to patch test before using any new topical treatment to ensure you don’t have any adverse reactions. Good luck with trying out this remedy!

  3. I tried the onion juice again today. I tried making the juice a different way and it came out perfect…no pulp and no chunks. I used a hand held grader and sliced the entire onion into quaters. I graded each quarter onion on the finest slide of the grader (make sure to be careful with your fingers). Then I took the fine pulp and pushed it through a hand held strainer and out came all the juice…all pure and no pulp and no chunks (last time I tried it was a disaster…LOL!). I then took a dropper and put the onion juice onto my scalp…wrapped my hair in a towel for 30 minutes and then rinsed out with shampoo and conditioner. The smell is still there but not too bad. I think I am going to try this 2 times a month and see how it goes.

    1. Just add two or three drops of lemon..then you won’t get any bad smell like that….and if you try this for 2 times you can’t get best results.. have to use it at least thrice a week…
