I’ve researched, looked up and scoured everywhere for the facial masks that are the best. The ones that will leave your skin in much better condition than it was before! That means that these 5 recipes below are the top DIY facial masks that your skin will love! You only need to do one of them once or twice a week and you’ll start to see a huge different!

Oatmeal & Honey Facial Mask

This incredible mask is all about soothing your skin down. If you have super rough, really angry skin, you want something that will keep it cool, calm and collected! This mask is for all skin types and it is very easy to make! All you need is some oatmeal, honey and some hot water! It’s one of the best facial masks out there if you really want something quick, easy and oh-so-delish for your skin!

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup instant oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1-2 tablespoons plain, unsweetened yogurt

Directions:

Add the water to your oatmeal and stir for a few minutes until it’s plumped up nicely. Add the honey and yogurt, and put through a blender to smooth and combine it really well. Slather this all over your face, leave on for 10 minutes or so, and then wash with warm water. Pat dry.

*Note: this mask can also be used on eczema patches on other parts of your body, such as inner arms, the backs of your knees, your neck, etc. For areas other than your face, you can leave the treatment on for a bit longer before washing it off.

Coffee & Cocoa Facial Mask

Another ingenious facial mask that you’ve got to try is all about coffee and cocoa! This mask will detox your skin and really make sure that it is not puffy at all. This mask also helps replenish a lot of the lost moisture that your skin sustains in the summer due to the heat. So, if you want to plump up your skin and make it look healthy, hydrated and oh-so-beautiful, this is the mask for you!

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons freshly ground coffee
  • 2 tablespoons pure cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 tablespoons yogurt or sour cream

Directions:

Blend all of the ingredients together, spread evenly over skin, and allow it to sit for about 10 minutes. When you rinse it off, massage your face gently to exfoliate as well. If there’s any mask left over after you wash your face with it, add a bit of water to it and use it as a scrub for the backs of your arms and any other body part that could do with some smoothing.

Lemon & Strawberry Skin Brightening Mask

This is a mask that will help you with any oily skin or even just skin that has a bit of problems. This mask will also brighten up your skin and wash away all of those dead skin cells! Do you know why? Because of the strawberries! Strawberries actually contain an acid that will help with any and all blemishes that you have while the lemon juice will help tighten up your pores and really get rid of those skin cells for you. Try it and let me know how you like it!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup mashed strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Directions:

Mash all of the ingredients together, but do not puree in a blender: you want this to be spreadable, not a liquid. Apply evenly all over your face and let sit 8-10 minutes. Wipe off with a warm, damp facecloth and then rinse with cool water. Pat dry.

Avocado & Honey Facial Mask

If you’ve been been sunburned and are out peeling super bad and your skin is oh-so-dry, you’ve got to give a try to this facial mask! This mask is packed with everything good that will leave your skin super nourished and looking amazing! This incredible mask will heal all of the peeling, kick all of the roughness of your skin out and will nourish any raw areas of your skin. The coconut oil and the avocado have amazing properties inside both products that will leave your skin amazingly hydrated!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 a very ripe avocado

Directions:

Mash or puree the avocado until it’s smooth and creamy, and then blend in the rest of the ingredients. Apply to your face, avoiding your eyes, and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Wipe your skin clean with a damp, warm cloth, or rinse your face with warm water in the shower.

Redness Reducing Facial Mask

Did you know that cold weather can actually really aggravate any Rosecea that you might have? It can actually leave your skin super blotchy and red! That’s what this redness reducing mask is for, to help pull out the red in your face and leave it looking oh-so-pretty and fresh. All you need is some green tea, some yogurt, oatmeal, apple cider vinegar and finally some honey! Did you know that apple cider vinegar is amazing for you skin? It really helps to stabilize the pH in your skin!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 tablespoons dry instant oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoons plain, unsweetened yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Strong-brewed green tea

Directions:

Blend the first 4 ingredients in a bowl, and add 3 tablespoons hot, strong green tea to the mixture. Stir regularly for a few minutes, adding tea as needed until you’ve created a thick paste. Apply it to your face and let sit for 10-15 minutes, then wipe clean gently with a damp cloth. Rinse with cool-to-warm water, but do not use soap, and pat dry gently. Repeat twice a week for best results.
