Food for Thought, Foods that Heal
I have to talk about foods that heal. It wouldn’t be right that I own a natural health website and not talk about foods that heal in one of my articles.
Garlic
Since Garlic is one of Nature’s best remedies, I thought it would be nice to talk about the cousin of the onion family. Not only is it a good additive to food and gives flavor to your favorite dishes but it also contains some of the best antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. It also is well known by health care professional to help prevent heart disease. Yes Aspirin can thin out your blood but Garlic is all natural and you are not instilling a toxin into your body like you are with Aspirin which is hard on the liver. Garlic has claimed to help cure atherosclerosis, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and cancer. Having shown the heart benefits that is not even taking into account it also helps regulate blood sugar levels and boost testosterone levels.
Ginger
Now lets talk about Ginger here for a moment. Not only is Ginger a good blood thinner like garlic and yes good for preventing atherosclerosis and heart disease but has been used for a long standing in the treatment of diabetes. For centuries ginger has been used in China, Southern Asia, East Africa, the Caribbean, Canada and the United States for medicinal purposes. It has found to be effective remedy in the treatment of nausea, morning sickness, motion sickness and gastro intestinal problems. An excellent drink is herbal tea with lemon and ginger to help in a multitude of infirmities.
Aloe Vera
Now lets talk about aloe vera juice and the aloe vera plant, natures miracle plant. It has been used by the Indians it seems forever for a multitude of natural cures for burns, gastrointestinal problems and wounds to name a few. It is a well known fact that pure aloe vera juice purchased from your local health food store is one of the best cures for stomach ulcers. Just like garlic and ginger the aloe vera plant is all natural and commonly known as one of natures best herbal medicines used also in the treatment of diabetes. Furthermore aloe vera is non toxic and has been used by many in the aiding of relief from heartburn and used as a natural treatment for irritable bowel syndrome.
Parsnip Root
I want you to remember parsnip root the next time you are making homemade chicken soup. Parsnip root is related to the carrot and like the carrot has a multitude of vitamins and minerals that the body needs and stores on a daily basis. It is an excellent source of dietary fibre and is rich in potassium as much as an astounding 600mg per 100 gram serving. Since I mentioned carrots as well I have to tell you there is not another vegetable on the planet that is packed with Vitamins, A,B,C,D,E,F and Beta Carotene such as the carrot. It is my favorite vegetable to juice at least 3 to 4 times a week.
Bee Pollen
Bee Pollen is one of the purest and richest natural foods ever discovered with incredible and medicinal value making it rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins, amino acids, hormones, enzymes and folic acid not to mention one of natures best antibiotics. Now lets go further and mention the B-Complex vitamins necessary for the central nervous system. Yes bee pollen not only is packed with B-5, B-12, Biotin, Inositol, Paba, good carbs and carotene but these active carotenoids convert into Vitamin A within the body.
If you think that Fish Oil is good for you then listen up to what I have to say about Krill Oil. Fish oil is weak in antioxidant content due to fatty acids thus making the body need more antioxidant protection. Krill Oil has Omega 3 Oils as well as remarkable and powerful antioxidant properties that are necessary to fight off free radicals that may cause cancer and other diseases, not to mention it regulates blood sugar, supports concentration and increases your memory. Remember free radicals are unstable oxygen molecules lacking an electron so they go throughout the bloodstream stealing electrons off of other cells making them deficient. That is just the start of it, Krill Oil has been found to be an excellent brain food not to mention vitally important for the Central Nervous System due to the fact it is very good protection for cell membranes throughout the human body. As I stated earlier Krill oil is an excellent brain food so if you’re tired of consuming almonds, chocolate and walnuts as brain food try some Krill Oil for a change.
Krill Oil
Krill oil comes from prawn like creatures which are a member of the shrimp family. It is one of the favorite meals of one of the smartest mammals on the planet, the Whale which are known to hear their prey for many miles before ever spotting them. If you want to spark those neurotransmitters of the brain and get those endorphins operating at maximum efficiency and try to escalate the intelligence you crave or are deprived of try some Krill Oil for a change. Maybe you will even hear your wife screaming at you from outside the house as well as inside too.
