Monkey Bread
Ingredients:
- Brown sugar – 1 cup
- Refrigerated biscuits – 4 cups
- White sugar – 1/2 cup
- Cinnamon powder – 2 tablespoons
- Butter – 3/4 cup
- Raisins – 1/2 cup
- Chopped walnuts – 1/2 cup
- Cream Cheese Icing
- Cream cheese – 1/2 pound
- Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon
- Confectioner’s sugar – 1 pound
- Butter – 1 pound
- Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, lightly grease the tube pan. Next, mix the sugar and the cinnamon in a plastic container. Cut the biscuits into halves and place about six inside the container with the cinnamon mixture. Blend well.
Next, arrange the biscuit pieces in the pan, layering them neatly. Make sure that each piece has the cinnamon and sugar coating. Toss in the raisins and the chopped nuts.
