Psoriasis – Bleach Bath
Readers’ Remedies: Psoriasis – Bleach Bath
I wanted to share a way of treating psoriasis that has been incredibly effective for my husband. He’s had psoriasis for at least 20 years, predating our marriage, so I’ve never known him without it. It affects his legs (from the knees to the ankles), scalp, lower back, chest, and arms.
We’ve explored countless remedies, from vinegar-soaked washcloths wrapped around his legs to various creams and powders. He even tried drinking kefir to cleanse his system. Finally, we heard about a bleach bath. Yes, that’s right—a bleach bath using regular Clorox (it must be regular Clorox, no perfumes, extra thick formulas, etc., just plain bleach). He adds 1/4 cup of bleach to his bathwater. After soaking, he rinses off with clean water. He does this every other day, and the results are astounding! He’s been doing this for less than two weeks, and his psoriasis is 95% gone! And if you’re concerned about a lingering smell, don’t be—he doesn’t smell like bleach at all. Give it a try!
