Can I treat impetigo with oregano oil and how? thank you
To use oregano oil to treat impetigo, you will first need to dilute it in a carrier oil like coconut oil or olive oil to avoid skin irritation. Mix one or two drops of oregano oil with one tablespoon of carrier oil. Apply the diluted mixture directly to the affected area using a cotton swab or clean finger. Cover the area with a clean bandage or gauze to help the oil penetrate the skin and fight the infection.
Repeat this treatment twice daily until the impetigo clears up. Keep in mind that oregano oil should only be used topically and should not be ingested. Additionally, it’s always advisable to consult with your healthcare provider before trying any new home remedies, especially if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking medication.
I used this to successful treat a rash I had on my leg. Not sure what the rash was, but just mixed some oregano oil with olive oil and rubbed it on.
