Herbs that Keeps Your Eyes Healthy
There are a lot of natural herbs that can greatly help you keep your eyes healthy.
Eyebright
Eyebright is considered as the master of all herbs for eye problems and it has been used for this purpose for the last 2,000 years. Just add one tablespoon of eyebright to a cup of boiling water, strain and leave it to cool. Use the fresh, cooled eyebright tea as eye wash. If you use them daily, this will strengthen the eyes and may help you reduce and eliminate various eye problems.
Goldenseal and Red Raspberry
Goldenseal and red raspberry teas are also beneficial for the eyes. These are noted for what it can do for the eyes and people have been using these for centuries.
Chaparral
The chaparral tea is taken internally. This strengthens the eyes especially from problems resulting from diabetes. Use this alongside Vitamin A.

Bilberry
Popularly called as the known as the European blueberry, Bilberry contains flavonoid compounds known as the anthocyanocides which helps improve the blood circulation in the eyes and promote the formation of visual purple. In some studies, it is given alongside Vitamin E.
Aloe Vera and Yarrow
Aloe vera juice is also used as a daily eye wash. Blackfoot Indians on the other hand use the flowers and leaves of yarrow to create tea and apply as eye wash as well.
Fennel
You may add half teaspoon of fennel powder, which is made from crushed, blended fennel seeds, to 2 and a half ounces of cold, clear water. Strain them and apply to the eyes for eye problems.
Cabbage
Ancient Greeks had used fresh, white cabbage juice with small amounts of honey added into it to relieve eye sore. It is also applied to moist, inflamed and running eyes. The ancient Greeks would also add thyme to food to help them overcome dimness of sight.
Nowadays, cabbage is used for runny eyes in infants. Just wash the eyes every half hour with clean, warm water. Bruise fresh cabbage leaves to a soft pulp and apply the cabbage pack to the closed eyes. This will improve the flow for a few days but will eliminate eye problems within a short time.
