Multiple Benefits of Using Camphor Essential Oil

Camphor essential oil is extracted from camphor trees that are more than 50 years in age. This tree is found mainly in tropical regions of Asia and in different parts of South America. The camphor oil is extracted using the steam distillation method of extraction from the woods and roots of the camphor tree.

Today, using advanced distillation techniques, three different types of camphor essential oil are produced- white, yellow, and brown. The yellow and the brown camphor oil contain a toxic substance called safrole and hence only white camphor is used for medicinal and aromatic purpose. However, proper care should be taken even while using white camphor oil to avoid overdose.

Apply the mixture to the scalp and massage the oil into the hair roots.
Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it on for about two hours.

My great aunt lived to 100 and used 1 part camphor oil to 9 parts coal oil for major arthritis in her hands, I have used it too, seems to help and stop the pain which I get on occasion, the swelling in her hands and fingers dissipated over time and she was playing the piano in her late 80’s, works for me.
