Heal Acne Naturally: The Power of Neem and Turmeric
Neem and turmeric possess antibacterial properties, making them effective in treating acne. Neem (Azadirachta indica) and turmeric (Curcuma longa) can suppress and kill bacterial activity, which is effective in treating acne rashes and bacterial infections.
Topical Applications
Applying neem oil to the infected area is beneficial for curing acne. Turmeric powder mixed with either water or aloe vera gel can be applied over acne rashes.
Turmeric can also be used internally. It is a regular condiment/spice in Indian traditional cooking. It not only adds taste to food but also aids the liver in toxin removal. It also helps in killing bacteria and infection. It is therefore considered a blood purifier and detoxification agent. This also offers a significant advantage in treating acne inflammation.
Combining Neem and Turmeric
A combination of turmeric powder and neem oil is also effective for acne treatment. You can also crush a few neem leaves to make a paste to which you add a tsp of turmeric powder. Apply it over acne inflammation spots. Both have antiseptic properties and help in controlling inflammation
It takes only a few days for turmeric to show results in acne treatment. You can mix turmeric powder with coconut oil and apply the paste directly to acne inflammations. Allow it to dry and leave the dried paste on overnight. Repeat this for two or three days and you should see considerable improvement in your skin’s condition.
Acne caused due to hormonal imbalances too is cured this way.
