How to Make a Decoupage Candle
It’s so easy to make a decorative candle that is personalized to your own taste and decor. Here’s how to do it.
You will need:
- clothes iron (medium heat)
- paper napkin (with a pattern on it, in any color) I got mine from the dollar store
- scissors
- candle (I used a white pillar candle from the dollar store)
Unfold the paper napkin to make it a full size sheet. Separate the two layers, remove the white sheet and keep the pattern paper.
Wrap pattern napkin around the candle. Starting at the seam of the napkin, lightly press the warm iron along the seam of the paper. It will stick right away. Press the warm iron just long enough until the wax melts through.
Keep wrapping the paper and heating with iron until its all covered.
Once paper is in place, trim any excess paper along the top and lightly seal the edges with warm iron.
The finished candle will feel like its coated with wax.
This candle can be used as a regular candle since the wax melts down in the center.
